We are very pleased to announce some recent promotions at Abel + Imray!
Katy Pellow has been promoted to the role of Senior Associate
Katy joined Abel + Imray LLP in 2018. She is a member of our ChemBio team and works with clients across a range of chemical applications including petrochemicals, polymers, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, post- and probiotics, and chemical processes. She has experience of drafting, prosecuting and opposing patent applications in the UK and Europe, and managing clients’ portfolios worldwide. Katy also provides freedom to operate opinions and has developed her experience of IP transactions and agreements.
Katy is an active member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and an active committee member of the Royal Society of Chemistry Law Group. She has created and facilitated workshops and IP training sessions and has been involved in developing a number of key client relationships.
Olivia Vanstone has been promoted to the role of Associate
Olivia joined Abel + Imray in September 2020 in the first year of the pandemic. Despite having to work from home in those first few months, she quickly picked up the skills to be a highly talented trade mark attorney with an eye for detail and great commercial nous. In less than three years, she obtained distinctions in both her QM and Nottingham courses, becoming a fully qualified Trade Mark Attorney in August 2023.
When we were approached by a leading pharmaceutical company to help their in-house department, we had no hesitation in putting Olivia forward for a secondment, which proved to be a great success. She is a trusted adviser to a host of our important London clients and overseas attorneys.
