We are thrilled to announce that Sofia Arenal has joined Abel & Imray LLP as a senior member of our trade mark team.
Sofia joined us in April 2022 from another respected UK/European firm where she worked for over 25 years, the majority of which was at partner or director level. She brings a wide range of experience of trade mark law in the UK, EU and beyond. During her career so far, Sofia has dealt with many complex oppositions, often in tandem with settlement negotiations and handled multi-national portfolios, in addition to acquiring a broad experience and expertise in analysing and reporting trade mark clearance searches.
As well as working with clients of all sizes and from many industries around the world, Sofia also enjoys working with local UK clients, at all stages of their business development. Sofia has extensive experience of working with Japanese businesses and attorneys, and has visited Japan on multiple occasions, to develop relationships and provide lectures on European trade mark law.
