As a Benelux and European Trade Mark Attorney, Mayke is able to represent clients in matters before the Benelux Office for Intellectual Property (BOIP) and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
Academic Qualifications:
MSc Communication Science, Marketing Communication, Radboud University in Nijmegen, Netherlands
Mayke joined Abel + Imray in 2021 and shares the responsibility for setting up a new office in Delft in the Netherlands. After studying Communication Science with a specialisation in Marketing and Communication at the Radboud University in Nijmegen, Mayke successfully completed the Benelux Trade Marks Association certification program, and has been a BMM Certified Trade Mark Attorney since 2007.
Mayke has worked in various mid-sized trade mark firms and has extensive experience in advising clients in relation to the protection of trade marks and designs in the Benelux and abroad. She enjoys assisting start-ups as well as larger (inter)national companies and providing advice on portfolio management. Mayke’s background in combination with her knowledge with respect to the protection of trade marks and designs makes her a valuable and devoted sparring partner for clients.
