Natasha Perks will be heading to Marrakech, Morocco for the 2026 AIPPI MidTerm Meeting, taking place from 3–5 February, a vibrant setting for a global conversation on the future of IP.
She’ll be speaking on Panel 4: Harnessing the Wind: IP, Innovation & Green Transition on Thursday, 5 February, from 17:30 to 19:00, where she’ll join leading voices to examine how IP can help drive meaningful, scalable climate solutions.
"Climate change brings enormous challenges globally, particularly in regions vulnerable to water stress, agricultural instability, and energy transition delays. Can Intellectual Property protection become a lever, not a bottleneck, for the Green Transition? This session will delve into how IP can play a central role in enabling innovation in clean energy, sustainable agriculture, water technologies, and in ensuring that such technologies can be accessed, adapted, and scaled in ways that are equitable. It will also review how IP frameworks—from collaborative licensing and patent pools to data/know-how sharing—can speed diffusion without stalling incentives, and what practical contract and policy tweaks help nations deliver a just, investable green transition."
Registration is open now. And if you’ll be in Marrakech and would like to connect, feel free to get in touch.
