Madeleine joined Abel and Imray in October 2020 and is based in the Bath office. Previously she worked for 2 years as a Research Engineer at Dyson in the Floorcare Research Simulation Team.
Madeleine’s studies covered a range of topics including: Electromagnetism, Condensed Matter, Biophysics, Nuclear Physics, Waves & Optics and Thermal Physics. In her final year she completed two practical projects. The first involved predicting wind turbine efficiency by simulating the airflow around a rotor blade using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and comparing the results to those obtained using blade element momentum theory. The second involved measuring the muon flux at the Earth’s surface using a cloud chamber.
