Emily joined the profession in 2003 and joined Abel & Imray in 2008 in our London Office, though regularly spends time in our Bath Office. She is a Member of the Royal Aeronautical Society, and has been recognised as one of the IP Stars of 2016 - 2020 by Managing IP. Emily is an active leader of our Diversity & Inclusivity Group and is also involved with Women in IP and the IP Inclusive organisation.

Emily’s work has covered generally mechanical subject-matter, with a strong specialism in aerospace. This aerospace work includes landing gear, aircraft seating, fuel systems, aircraft structures, noise reduction, aerial delivery systems and actuators.
Emily is responsible for the management of an important, valuable and complex aerospace portfolio, and has undertaken extensive freedom-to-operate work in relation to this portfolio. Other expertise includes pipe-laying vessels, sealant materials, fasteners, brackets and bone substitute materials.
She has experience of patent prosecution work in the UK, Europe and worldwide, and of registered designs. Emily works for a wide range of clients, from large multi-national companies to SMEs, and ensures her advice is tailored accordingly.
