Emily joined the profession in 2003 and joined Abel & Imray in 2008. Emily is based in our London Office, though regularly spends time in our Bath Office. She is a Member of the Royal Aeronautical Society, and also the Farnborough Aerospace Consortium (FAC). Emily has been recognised as one of the IP Stars of 2018 and 2017 by Managing IP.

Emily’s work has covered generally mechanical subject-matter, with a strong specialism in aerospace. This aerospace work includes landing gear, aircraft seating, fuel systems, aircraft structures, noise reduction, aerial delivery systems and actuators.
Emily is responsible for the management of an important, valuable and complex aerospace portfolio, and has undertaken extensive freedom-to-operate work in relation to this portfolio. Other expertise includes pipe-laying vessels, sealant materials, fasteners, brackets and bone substitute materials.
She has experience of patent prosecution work in the UK, Europe and worldwide, and of registered designs. Emily works for a wide range of clients, from large multi-national companies to SMEs, and ensures her advice is tailored accordingly.
